Nervous Excited

Well, I'm back.  I know I said I'd be back before this, but life gets busy.
Any who...
TOMORROW IS GAME DAY!!!!  Although it won't be in Athens, in the church of Sanford Stadium (thanks Papa Sowell), it will still be a glorious Bulldawg day.
Wesley and I will be heading to Atlanta to our reserved parking lot bright and early.  Already have a grocery list going for the all-day marathon tailgate.  Still looking for a cute top to wear, but that will be remedied shortly.

I'm actually really nervous about this game.  If we win, it will be awesome.  Boise State is a top 5 team right now and beating them will give us a huge momentum swing going in to the South Carolina game.  If we lose this game, I feel the fan base will come off its rocker.  I also think the players will lose the swagger they've built up this off-season and it will not be good going in to next week's game.  So yes, very nervous.  The screws will either tighten up and it will be a great season, or they will finally shake themselves loose and the wheels will come off the wagon.

For this week's game:

Looking forward to the most:  Seeing the players with some swagger in the Dome and the uniforms

Looking forward to the least:  The heat in the parking lot

Game prediction:  I think Georgia will come away with this one...I think the players and the coaches need this and want this more than anything and are willing to put it all out there.

See you at the Dome in RED!!!!

Gooooooo DAWGS!

Hello world!

Well, it's a Monday, but I'm in a surprisingly upbeat mood!  I had a great weekend with the ADPi girls, going over the plans for the fall recruitment, did some light window shopping with a great friend and spent the rest of the weekend homeworking and lovin' on the hubs and the puppies.  Pretty darn good if you ask me.

I also got to watch the Braves yesterday...and I mean, Hudson is my favorite.  He always brings the good stuff...even sliding headfirst into home to score a run.  And he's a good guy from what I can tell.  Always giving of his time for charities.  I can't wait to be at Turner Field on Sunday to watch the Bravos live!  I hope the weather is good, but if it's not, no biggie...we'll be in the 755 Club shelter!  Holla!

Things at work are good, just gotta get these taxes done!  I might be taking them home this weekend.  We'll see.  My goal is to get all 30 done by this week and have the students sign off on them next week.  They have to be postmarked by the 18th this year...but the 15th is still my goal.

My dad is off for Spring Break this week and my mom managed to get a couple days off so they'll be in the neighborhood soon.  I might take a day off to spend it shopping with my mom.  That seems like a good way to use a vacation day.  We'll see!

So that's taxes, a day off for shopping, yard work, girl's night/band night, and a Braves game.  All this week.  Plus any homework that I have to do.  I'm also having lunch with a great friend today, a pedicure with another friend tomorrow and staying for a meeting on Wednesday night.

Spring is no joke.  Good thing I have some energy!  Let's see how long this will last!

Go Dawgs and Go Braves!

Under attack

Sorry I've been hiding.  I've been under attack.  Pollen is so annoying.  Grass pollen.  Tree pollen.  It doesn't matter.  It all sucks.
Hopefully I'll feel like writing something great once I can breathe without the help of twenty medications.

Bleh.

Monday Blues...

Yep...I got 'em.  The post-spring break, it's cloudy and cold, busy office day, Monday Blues.  And it stinks because they won't get better at 5pm, when others will be heading out of the office, because I'll be on my way to class for FOUR hours tonight.  And even though it's the first class session, I'm pretty sure we'll be there until 10 because we had a reading assignment to do before class started.
Yep...Monday Blues.  Did I mention she's banned cellphones from the class?  Seriously?  We're in graduate school...I should be able to multi-task enough to listen and participate in the discussion while updating my facebook or sending out a tweet about how tired I am!  I mean, what if there's an emergency.  What if the world is coming to an end but none of us know about it because we can't have our cell phone on.  Some people in my class actually have children, jobs that require them to be on call...I mean, it's feasible that I would get a call about a student at night.  Just ridiculous.

Any who...I'm excited about some things this week.  We have a 31 Monogram party at the ADPi house to benefit Ronald McDonald House on Wednesday, dinner with a super wonderful friend on Thursday, a ballet with other amazing friends on Friday, ADPi Yard Sale on Saturday, with a birthday celebration for the bro on Saturday night or Sunday afternoon...whichever I have the energy for!  It's an exciting week if only this whole work/school thing wasn't in the way.  But then again, I like a paycheck to help fund these adventures.

Also, my mom and I came up with a wonderful baby/retirement plan.  We think once I have a baby and won't want to really work (just in theory, don't freak out, I'm sure I'll still be working) and she will retire so she can move closer to hypothetical baby (she did tell me it's her dream to met her grandbabies when they get off the bus every afternoon, although I haven't informed her that my kids will be car riders bc too much stuff happens on a bus!).  With this plan, we will still need some income...so we will start an interior decorating business for any homes, but mountain and lake homes specifically.  She even started researching if there would be classes available.  She's so silly...and brilliant.  Thus, I could be with my baby or mom could, we would get to be creative and have great hours and still have Wesley working to have health insurance :)  If only it would work.  I would love it.  And so would my mom.

Well, in the sports front, UGA is going to play basketball on Thursday and have spring football practice.  UGA hoops are still on the bubble for NCAA tournament, I think Louisville is in, and the Braves are doing pretty well in spring training.
I wish I had more time for sports right now, but no go.  Too much school and work.  Waaaaaa!
But prayers do get sent out for UGA baseball player who hurt his neck on Sunday.  Hopefully all will be well!

Until next time...Go DAWGS!

Spring Break!

So in 2.5 hours I will officially be on Spring Break 2011.  It doesn't have the same feel to it as it did when I actually went to college, but I certainly appreciate it!
Since I work at a college, my President graciously gives us Thursday and Friday off to enjoy the mental break.  And I must say, the past three days of "work" have been wonderfully quiet...no students on campus = very quiet.  Except, I'm really bored now.  Thanks to Hulu, I've caught up on my television shows and I've even read a lot of magazines that we have laying around.  It's so bad, I'm about to start reading some material from my new class that starts Monday night.  Scary.

But, I think for this post, I just want to list somethings that I would never get tired of or bored of...so here we go:

- The beach...as long as there are no hurricanes, floods or oil
- Hearing "I love you" from my close friends and family
- Having my puppies snuggle with me
- Sweatpants (but only in the comfort of my own house!)
- Sweet Tea
- Rainbow sandals
- Movies
- Good, girlie books, with romance
- Good food
- Chocolate
- Having Wesley hold my hand (well, unless my hand gets clammy or sweaty, gross)
- Acoustic music
- Wood burning fire
- Fresh flowers

Right now, I would love to be on a beach, with my nook, a mojito, my dogs and the Hubs.  That would be grand!

Alright...can't forget that Georgia plays basketball tonight...Senior Night!  Go Dawgs!

a new month...a new post

Yay!!!!!!!  I'm blogging again!  Basically, I have a ton of things going on in my life, but I want this to be for "me time" so here we go.

It's March 1st.  2011 is flying by.  I've finished one and a half semesters of graduate school and have 2 A's and 1 B so far.  Not too shabby.

I am in love with my hubby and our three hairy babies...Dixie, Boss and Bella.  Chill...they're dogs.  And I love our little life.

Georgia's behaving in the off-season and even with some coaching changes and student-athletes transferring and whatnot, there's still a bright fall ahead.  Call me optimistic if you will...because I am.  As bad as my dawgs may play, they are still my team.  And I'm a fan.  And the basketball team is improving and that's always a bonus!

Braves spring training is up and running.  I love baseball.  Cute guys, tight pants, good food.  I can't wait to go to a few games.  But I also can't wait to turn them on Sunday afternoons to be the soundtrack to an awesome spring nap :)

I guess that's all for now.

Yay for blogging!  Go Dawgs!

Sorry for the Slowness

So I haven't updated since Thursday because of some personal/family issues.  BUT...I should get a good new post up on Wednesday about my thoughts on the following:
- Richt on the HotSeat
- The loss to Arkansas and what I think it means
- How excited/nervous I am about Saturday night
- ADPi Recruitment at Brenau
- How I lost 20 pounds Saturday in Sanford
- UGA players on Twitter
- What to wear for UGA vs. UT

Peace out (hey, it's International Day of Peace, so it's appropriate)
